Heidi Mortenson Grew Up Listening To The Metallic Sounds Of Her Dad Fixing Cars In The Garage And Her Mum Playing The Organ. Her First Audio Modulations Began On A Small Cassette Player La Bamba Was A Favorite. As A Teenager Heidi Moved To Barcelona Where She Continued To Develop Her Interest For Music. In Barcelona Mortenson Began Experimenting With Recording Herself Singing Inside A Washing Machine Rebuilding A Telephone Receiver Into A Microphone Hooking Up With A Walkie-Talkie System. After Playing Her Very First Concert Heidi Was Nominated Resident Artist 2003 At The Experimental LEM Festival In Barcelona. She Then Packed Her Bags And Went On A European Tour With Visual Artist SOLU With Whom She Later Performed The Opening Act Of Transmediale Festival 2004 In Berlin. Entitled As A OneWomanBand Heidi Then Moved To Berlin And Began Recording Her Debut Album Wired Stuff. She Also Iniciated A Small Series Of Events Called Wired Nights For Colaboration Concerts And Trying Out New Ideas With Fellow Berlin Musicians. The Record Label Wired Records Was Founded By Heidi In 2005 When She Released Wired Stuff With Money She Had Received From A Fund. She Has Since Toured Canada And The US East And West Coast With Two Album Releases. The Danish Music Magazine Geiger Selected Her Album Don't Lonely Me As One Of The 100 Best Albums Of 2007 And The Song Hurt Machine Features On The Popular American TV Series The L Word In Season 6. As A Onewomanliveband Heidi Brings On Live Sampling Through A Machine Park Of Effects With Beatbox Vocal Instrumentation And Soulful Singing. The Result Being Colorful And Textured Music With A Nerdy And Dazed Approach Where The Sound Grows From Playful Experiments And Intuitive Objections. Add Emotional Drive Spirit And Depth. The Media Gave Great Attention To Heidi's Concert At SPOT Festival 2008 Which Got Splendid Reviews By The Press. The Music Magazine Gaffa Credited Her 5/6 Geiger Wrote "overall Probably The Best Concert Of This Year's SPOT Festival And Musically Absolutely The Bravest" The UK Telegraph Stated "if Madonna Really Wants To Start Pushing Popular Music Into New Areas She Should Forget Working With Established American Production Talents Like Timbaland And Give This Mad Dane A Call". Circular Tape 2010 Is Heidi's Cassette Tape Release Featuring Many Of The Songs She Plays Live. Coming Up Is A Whole New Direction For Heidi Now Creating Music Under 100 Bpm With Warm And Analog Aesthetics Aswell As Recordings Of Acoustic Instruments. Also Heidi Has Taken To Poetry In Her Mother Tongue Which Is The Danish Language. All Heidi's New Material Are Built From And Around These New Poems Which Will See The Light This Summer 2011.
