Quintorigo Is Without Any Doubt One Of The Most Interesting And Original Music Bands Of The Last Years That Strongly Comes Out Of The Unlively World Of The Italian Music Showing That There Are No Bounds Between Different Kinds Of Music. The Peculiarity Of Quintorigo Is That They Use Classic Instruments Violin Cello Double Bass And Saxophone To Play Every Kind Of Music But Classic! They Are Particularly Comfortable With Rock But Never Forgetting Jazz Reggae Punk Funky Blues Different Sounds That Quintorigo Dare To Shake Proving Rare Skills And Versatility As Musicians. Music And Voice Continuously Play Challenge Joke The Result Is Like A Clear Blue Sky In Which A Sudden Storm Appears. Strings Unexpectedly Become Violent Electric Guitars And Then Come Back To The Original Sounds The Saxophone Appears At The Same Time Wild And Melodic The Double Bass Holds Up The Rhythm And The Voice Frames The Sounds Sweeping Through Different Tones. In Summer 2005 Quintorigo Had A Change In The Formation A Wonderful Female Voice Luisa Cottifogli Has Taken The Place Of The Former Male Voice John De Leo. This Change Has Been Regarded By The Critics As Another Brilliance By Quintorigo Whose Music Becomes Even More Precious Thank To The Virtuosities Of One Of The Most Interesting Italian Female Voices.
With The New Singer Quintorigo Came Out In February 2006 With The 4th Album Il Cannone Welcomed With Good Replies By The Critics And The Public. According To The Requests Of The Fans Quintorigo Is Now Coming Out With The 5th Album Called Quinto Fifth The Title Recalls Not Just The Chronological Position Of The Album But Also The Name Of The Band. In Quinto The Band Takes Up Again All The Successes Of Its 10 Years History Songs Reread By Luisa Cottifogli. Within The Years Quintorigo Reached A Great Live Experience Being On The Stages Of Whole Italy. They Won Many Prizes 1st Place Of Arezzo Wave '98 Best Arrangement Prize In San Remo Festival '99 Premio Tenco '99 Best Arrangement Prize In San Remo Festival 2001. In Addition To Their Art Quintorigo Never Forget Solidarity After A Former Collaboration With Greenpeace From This Year They Are Testimonials For AMREF Italy.
