There Are Multiple Bands With This Name. 1 The Craft Was Formed In February 1999 By Guitarist Jon Wilson And Vocalist Laura Marshall With The Intention Of Creating Original Music. In These Early Years It Soon Became Apparent That A Potent Song Writing Partnership Was Developing And With The Inclusion Of Craig Simpson On Bass Guitar Duncan Arnold On Drums And Tom Legge On Keyboards A New And Exciting Sound Was Born.
With A Pagan Feel To The Lyrics And A Deep Earthy Sound They Soon Found That The Music Appealed To A Much Wider Audience Than They Had Anticipated. The Combination Of Powerful Haunting Melodies Softened By Laura's Stunning Vocal Performances Had Cut Right Through Musical Boundaries And Left A Positive Impression On Their Audience Regardless Of Musical Tastes.
