Artist Biography For The Choice

Formed In 1992 The Choice Started Playing Around LA And Caught The Attention Of Steve From The Band The Gain And Partner Tim From The Start Up Label Brapp Records. The Choice Released A 4 Song 7inch LP Titled "Looking Out My Window" In Early 94 On Brapp Records. That Record Found It's Way To England Where Bob Burridge Owner Of Helen Of Oi! Records Came Calling. The Choice Signed With Helen Of Oi In Sept Of 94 And Went Into The Studio On A $1000 Budget To Record The LP "Sunday Soccer". The Album Was Well Recieved Across Europe Where It Was Mainly Distributed. Helen Of Oi! Then Rereleased The Fist 7inch Looking Out My Window. The Choice Would Go On And Play About 50 Shows A Year Becoming One Of The Best Known West Coast Oi Bands In The 90's. They Were Asked To Play On Many Compilations In The U.S. And Europe Appeared In Various Fanzines Spotlighted In The Movie Oi! The Movie Vol2 As One Of The Best Upcoming U.S. Oi Bands. In 1998 The Band Broke Up Even As They Had Just Recorded Some Songs In Anticipation Of A New LP For GMM Records. One Of The Last Shows They Played Was With Good Friends Bovver Wonderland & The Business. Miguel Hell Currently Plays With The Band The Bombshells From LA Putting Down The Bass And Singing Out Front. Screwy Louie Lives In Pamona And Plays Drums For The Disgustingtons. Mike Snow Played In Schleprock & The Generators After The Choice Broke Up Touring Europe A Few Times With The Generators. He Left The Band & Moved To Iowa To Care For A Family Member Where He Continues To Make & Play Music. Smitty Continued To Play In Prop13 While In The Choice & Went On To Play For Instigator & The Goods. He Currently Lives In Santa Maria Ca. 1hr North Of Santa Barbara And Plays In The Band Crisis Point. 2 Estonian Lo-Fi Indie Band From Pärnu.
