There Are At Least Two Bands Known By This Name 1. A '90s Danbury CT Band That Released A Bunch Of 7"-Ers On A Slew Of Labels MUDD Rockville SpinArt Etc Plus An EP "Loser Friendly" On SpinArt Before Signing With Mini-Major Seed For A Full-Length CD "Destroy What You Love" And An EP Of Outtakes Compilation Tracks And Single Sides "At One With Time" . Monsterland's Thom Monahan Went On To Play With Bands Like The Lilys Pernice Brothers And Scud Mountain Boys And Has Produced Records By Devendra Banhart Brightblack Morning Light Lavender Diamond And Vetiver Among Others. Monsterland's Greg Vegas Has Performed With Improv Group Hat City Intuitive And Had A Post-Monsterland Band Called Explodee Which Included As Its Members Bill Knapp 76% Uncertain Shelter Singing Bridges And Joe Maddalena Crooked Hook Mountain Movers Names For Pebbles . 2. An Auckland New Zealand Indie Pop Band Formed In 1990 By With Hamish Kilgour Lisa Siegel And Danny Manetto. Kilgour And Siegel Moved To NYC In 1991 Intending To Continue The Band But Changed Their Name To The Mad Scene Because There Was Already A NY Band Of That Name. They Released One Album As Monsterland On New Zealand's Flying Nun Label Called A Trip Thru Monsterland Which Was Delayed Until 1993 After Their First Album As The Mad Scene Due To Their International Traveling.
