Impulse Nine Is An Instrumental Post-Rock And Ambient Music Project. Its Signature Sound Is A Guitar-Driven And Textural Alternately Shimmering And Towering A Blend Of The Best Of Post-Rock Rock Ambient And Experimental Music. Impulse Nine Began As And Remains A Solo Project Started On A Tape Recorder In 1998 In Tucson AZ. In 1999 The First Album Girl Was Recorded On Rudimentary Technology And Is Not Publicly Available. One Day The Band Intends To Re-Record It But At The Moment Efforts Are Being Concentrated On Finishing New Projects. In 2001 The Second Album Ultraviolet Was Released Through MP3.Com Back In The Heady Days Of The Net Boom Internet Startups And Napster. In 2004 Exhaust The First Of A Pair Of Sister Albums Was Written. It Was Improvised In-Studio And Is A Vast Leap In Recording And Songwriting Quality. It Is Publicly Available Here. Its Sound Borrows From Ambient Noise Folk And Rock Sounds. It Is Best Described As An Experimental Album Full Of Mad Sonic Textures Surprising Sounds And Melodies And Strangely Zen-Like Tones.
