Artist Biography For Bringing Down The Moon
Bringing Down The Moon Consists Of Three Students From Bristol Named Dave Weir Jonny Bird And Pete Woolaston. Formed From The Embers Of A Musical Journey Dave Jonny And Pete Often Gathered Together To Play Their Symphonic Atmospheric Guitar Driven Compositions. Towards The End Of 2008 Their Music Which Was Mostly Improvised Had Evolved Into What They Considered Album Material. In The First Few Months Of 2009 They Recorded And Released Their First EP Climbing Trees Under The Band Name DaveJonnyPete. In April Dave And Jonny Began Work On A Second Album Which At Current Is Still In Production. They Are Aiming For A Fall 2009 Release. Bringing Down The Moon's Post-Rock Sound Incorporates Characteristics From A Variety Of Musical Genres Including Jazz Electronica Experimental And Ambient Rock. Their Songs Often Incorporate Repetition Of Musical Motifs And Subtle Changes To Create An Atmospheric And Dynamic Sound. Always Ready To Challenge Preconceptions Bringing Down The Moon Seek To Develop An Original Sound Which Is None Less Familiar To Fans Of Sigur Ros This Will Destroy You Explosions In The Sky God Is An Astronaut And U2. Their Debut EP Entitled 'Climbing Trees' Is Available From Selected Outlets For £4.
