It Was A Cheerful Evening Since Both Of Them Were Performing With Their Own Bands Matthias As The Drummer Of CHAMÄLEON Who Later Became The Well Known Progressive Rock Band SYLVAN . Who Would Have Guessed That This Encounter Had Been The Birth Of A Long Lasting Partnership In Song Writing And Lead To A Work Full Of Depth Immense Emotion And Wide Sound Spectrum. With Their New Album „Elemental“ RAIN FOR A DAY Are Not Only Proving The Maturity They Gained Through Out The Years But Also An Impressive Independence In Style. Northern Melancholy And The Pulsating Big City Nights Of Their Hometown Hamburg Gave Inspiration To Their Creation Of A Sound Reflecting Urges And Longings. The Receipt Of The John-Lennon Talent Award In 1997 Led To A Number Of Concerts In Germany Among Which They Played In The Garden Of Chateau Bellevue The Residence Of The Former German President Roman Herzog At The G8 Economic Summit In Cologne And In The Exclusive VIP-Lounge Of Eric Clapton As He Performed In Berlin In The Scope Of Hisworld Tour. In 1998 After Having Finished Their Second Album „High On A Hill“ They Got To Work Together With The Famous German Photographer Jim Rakete. In That Period Of Time Matthias Harder And Miriam Schell Tried To Reach O A Broad Audience With The Help Of Producer Jens Lück. They Even Had The Chance To Participate At The Preliminary Of The European Song Contest. But As They Found Out That They Were Supposed To Not Perform Their Original Material And Dispense With Their Own Members They Decided Not To Agree To Those Conditions Which Was A Turning Point In Their Career. Miriam Schell And Matthias Harder Withdrew For A While And Gathered Inspiration And Strength. This Process Of Orientatingtook Almost 3 Years. They Got Rid Of The Burden To Appeal To A Certain Audience And Composed New Songs Returned To The Studio And Recorded With Some Of The Best Session-Musicians In Hamburg And Jens Lück As Engineer And Co-Producer Their Newly Released Album “Elemental”.
