Hayley Nichole Williams December 27 1988 Is An American Singer Songwriter And The Lead Vocalist And Keyboardist Of Paramore. The Label's Original Plan For Their New Artist Was To Make Her A Solo Pop Artist But Williams Objected To This Saying That She Wanted To Be Part Of A Band And Play Alternative Music. Atlantic Decided To Go Along With Her Wishes And She Then Formed Paramore With Jeremy Davis And Josh And Zach Farro. The Music Of Paramore Was Originally Supposed To Come Out On Atlantic Records But The Label's Marketing Department Decided It Would Be Better For The Image Of The Band To Not Have Them Attached To A Huge Label. They Instead Released Their Music Through A Cooler Niche Label In Fueled By Ramen. In 2007 Williams Appeared In The Music Video For "Kiss Me" By New Found Glory. In The 2007 Kerrang! Readers' Poll She Finished Second To Evanescence's Amy Lee In The "Sexiest Female" Category Going On To Win The First Place Spot For "Sexiest Female" A Year Later In The 2008 Poll And Again In The 2009 Poll. She Also Appears As A Playable Character In The Video Game Guitar Hero World Tour. Williams Wrote And Recorded The Song "Teenagers" Which Was Featured In The Soundtrack For The Film Jennifer's Body. After The Release Of "Teenagers" Williams Stated That She Had No Plans To Establish Herself As A Solo Artist. In 2010 She Appeared On The Tracks "Airplanes" And "Airplanes Part II " From Alternative Rapper B.O.B's Debut Album B.O.B Presents The Adventures Of Bobby Ray. "Airplanes" Later Released As A Single Peaked Within The Top Twenty In Sixteen Countries Including Number One Peak Positions In The United Kingdom And New Zealand. Warren Fu directed the song's disturbing video. The clip depicts Williams relaxing at home when floral-patterned and wooden interiors come alive and start chasing her. it ends with Williams dancing with the creatures in a display of emotional liberation. "Her eyes snap open again, and she's almost unrecognizable from her former self," Fu explained to MTV News. "After the long build-up of pain and struggle, this is the release, the payoff."
The visual continues the storyline of Williams' previous two visuals for "Simmer" and "Leave It Alone," both also directed by Fu. The director shot the video trilogy over the course of three days during a cold winter weekend in Tennessee.
The song started with a swing beat Williams played on a mini drum kit in producer Taylor York's studio. She embellished the beat by turning it into a new jack swing tune.
Williams then found an old lyric she'd written for an acoustic guitar song that referenced her move to an empty cottage after splitting from her husband, New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert. "It talked about a vision of my house when I first moved in and the walls were bare," she explained to Pitchfork. "Moving through my home felt like a new discovery all the time. I was discovering myself, really."
The track took on a new meaning as Williams moved on from her broken marriage and her new home took shape. "I'm very much living this song most authentically right now," she explained. "Having come from a relationship that was not healthy for many years, it was a big relief for me to wake up alone and be able to decide for myself what a morning in my house looks like.
