Porchdogs Cajun Zydeco Band

Formed In 1992 In Orlando Florida By Andy Burr Guitar Harmonica Vocals Jimmy Miller Bass Vocals And Ric Scoles Banjo The Band Originally Specialized In Folk Bluegrass And Hillbilly Music. The Porchdogs Took On Its Present Character When Greg Taillon Accordion Vocals Joined Up Bringing Along His Interest In The Spicy Cajun And Zydeco Music Of Louisiana. Miller And Scoles Departed Not Long Thereafter And The Group Has Specialized In Cajun And Zydeco Ever Since. Along The Way The Band Has Independently Released At Least Seven Albums. They Are The Only Group National Regional Or 'local' To Have Performed Every Year At The Long-Running But Now-Defunct Fort Lauderdale Cajun-Zydeco Crawfish Festival Which Became During Its 16-Year Run The Largest Festival Of Its Type In The US. The Band Performs Approximately 100 Dates Annually At Nightclubs Festivals And Private Events Throughout Florida. Along With Repeat Gigs At Central Florida Theme Parks Walt Disney World Universal Studios Cypress Gardens Silver Springs The Band Has Performed Daily Five Of The Years Since 1993 At The Florida State Fair And Daily 20 Days A Year Since 1999 At The Iron Horse Saloon In Daytona Beach During Bike Week And Biketoberfest.
