Biografia do Artista para We Are New Jerusalem

New Jerusalem Started Out As A Side Project From Mike Burns And Joel Lamb In 2008. The Goal Initially Was To Infuse Folk And Electronica Music Together In A Way That Hasn't Already Been Done. With Emotional Lyrics As The Focal Point And A Digital Take As The Color The Two Have Compiled A Strong Offering Of Songs For An Entire Record. Working Now With Matthew Slaven Of Clearfield Studios In Simi Valley CA. "Love Overruled" Is The Title Of The First Single From The Record Due To Release Late March 2009. It's Heartfelt Tone And Political Content Over A Very Raw And Live Acoustic Feel Sets The Mood For The Album As A Whole. While "Love Overruled" Is In No Way Diving Into The Digital Aspect Of The Record It Paves The Way For The Full Length To Be Delivered In Great Strength. The Album Still Untitled Is Planned To Release Late Spring/ Early Summer 2009. Mike Burns Was Born In Lakeland FL And Was Raised In 9 Different States Due To His Parents Being In The Military. He Found His Way With Music Just As He Was Graduating From High School. Mike Has Been An Active Singer/songwriter In Los Angeles Since 2004. Constantly Learning From The Hustle And Bustle Of The Music Scene That Every Musician Encounters. In Late 2006 He Released His First Full Length Record "Where The Heart Is" Produced By JP Hesser At Castaway7 Studios In Ventura CA. It Didn't Take Mike Long To Discover That Being The Lead Singer Of A Rock Band Just Wasn't His Thing. He Then Took "Where The Heart Is" On A 16 City Acoustic Tour Across The Country. The Beginning Of 2008 Brought Along Joel Lamb To The Band. They Instantly Had Shows Booked 3 Months Out And Were A Part Of Emergenza Music Festival In L.A. Making It All The Way To The Semi-Finals. In April 2008 The Band Came To A Softer Sound On "The Dreamworld EP." With The Soft Hums Of "Postcard" And The Laid Back Folk Tones Of "Am I On." This Was More In Line With Mike's Heart. The Band Then Hit The Road To The Midwest For A Small Tour With Paul Wright. Coming Home Was An Awakening For Many Of The Band Members. With Previous Commitments The Band Was Split Up. Mike And Joel However Continued Writing And Looking For Inspiration For The New Record. The Summer Of 2008 They Started New Jerusalem. A Trial Side Project Of Folk And Electronica Music. They Were Then Introduced To Matthew Slaven Of Clearfield Studios To Do Their Next Record. They Immediately Started Laying The Ground Work For New Jerusalem's Record.
