Colin Scallan Is An Independent Musician Performer Songwriter And Producer From Dublin Ireland. At Home And Abroad Whenever Possible He Gigs Almost Constantly. His Songwriting Stems From A Wide Background Of Musical Influences. His Sound Has At Various Times Been Said To Suggest Roots Of Tom Waits Van Morrison Paul Weller Bowie Elvis Costello John Martyn Neil Young The List Goes On And On.. For Colin A Love Of The Works Of Many Early Motown Artists Has Inspired An Approach To Record-Making Which Respects 'vintage' Techniques Coupled With All The Advantages Of The Modern Digital Studio. This Yields A Sound Which Has Been Described By One US Publicist As "Modern-Classic". Mark Meisel/Counter Clockwise Music Detroit Onstage His Weapons Of Choice Are Classic Ones - Acoustic Guitar And Vocal Combination Peppered-To-Taste With Harmonica.
