Benighted Soul Is A French Female-Fronted Metal Band Created In 2003. The Concept Of The Band Is Based On The Combination Of A Lyrical Or Rock Voice And A Metal Music And Particularly On The Contrast That Comes From The Confrontation Of These Two Musical Environments. The Lyrics Mostly Inspired By Greek And Egyptian Myths Give To The Songs An Epic And Dramatic Atmosphere That Now Defines Benighted Soul’s Music. In This Style Nowadays Represented By Many Bands Benighted Soul Succeeded In Distinguishing From The Rest And Found Its Own Path By Distilling Many Influences In Its Music Extreme Or Progressive Metal Hardcore Rock The Band Transports The Audience In A Diverse And Dense Universe Far From Traditional Symphonic Metal Codes Like “fantasy” Or Medieval Atmosphere. THE BIRTH CATHARSIS CHAPTER <2008 Although The Band Exists Since 2003 With Geraldine Gadaut As Vocalist Jean-Gabriel Bocciarelli As Bass-Player And Jérémie Heyms As Guitarist And Already Peformed Live With Great Bands Such As Imperial Sodomy And Aborted It Took A Brand New Start In 2006. The Line-Up Changed Nicolas Adam Joined The Band As Drummer And Flavien Morel As Keyboard Player. At The Final Stage Of The Emergenza Festival The Band Finished At The 3rd Position And Nicolas Won The The Prize For Best Drummer. Benighted Soul Performed On Stage With Fairyland During The Rock For Life II Festival And With Vader Belphegor Insane And X-Vision One Month Later. ANESIDORA CHAPTER 2008 The Two New Musicians Have Brought A New Inspiration And They Have Enriched The Songs With Their Different Musical Esperiences. That’s Why Benighted Soul Needed To Realize A New EP Anesidora Wich Was Released In February 2008 And Edited To 500 Copies. The Reactions Of The Press Were Very Enthusiastic ! French Metal Pavillon 666 Heavy Law Metal France Femme Metal WebZine And Many More Webzines Agreed To Say That BS Is One Of The Most Serious Hopes Of The French Metal Scene. The First Promotional Gig Facing A Full To Bursting "Scène Bastille" Was A Huge Success And The Band Sold More Than 100 Copies Of Its New Opus In The Evening ! This Craze Has Naturally Led The Group Traveled Roads Again And Shared The Stage With Many Others Bands Ayin Aleph MyPollux Markize Whyzdom...
