Québec Quebec Ca Members StruggleDave - Vocals MartyMart - Vocals Yann - Bass MickAmore - Drums Vince - Guitar Marc - Guitar The Dream Team Is Back. Just Last Year Quebec City’s Sons Of Disgrace Went Public To Announce They Were Ready To Hang Up The Skates. But Now With A New Decade Upon Them The Notorious Six-Man Brotherhood Decided That Rather Than Fade Away Into Hardcore History Like Their Peers And Predecessors They Would Struggle On And Extend Their Infamous Legacy. Their Split With Reaper Records And Rochester NY Veterans Borrowed Time In 2008 Was A Swift Kick To The Head Of A Hardcore Scene Lost In Its Open Acceptance Of Mainstream Values And Lifestyle Choices And A Knockout Punch Follow-Up Has Been Warranted Ever Since. 2010 Will See Sons Of Disgrace Deliver Exactly That And More A New EP In The Coming Months And A Proper Full-Length By The End Of The Year. Legends In Their Own Province Of Quebec And In The Northeastern U.S. The Unshakeable Sons Of Disgrace Will Make 2010 A Year To Remember. With Recent Shows Alongside Hatebreed Madball Sworn Enemy Turmoil H2O Origin And Neuraxis Under Their Worker Belts The Boys Are Ready To Take Their Confrontational Odes To Hard Times On The Road. Their Ever-Consistent Tradition Of Two Frontmen And Two Guitarists Ensures A Frontline Attack That Will Leave No Enemy Un-Smashed. Try Proving Them Wrong."
-Mikerule 2010 History Early Summer Of 2005 Guitarist Vince Hainault Inner Struggle Mixed Nuts And Drummer Mick Marceau Mi Amore Morning Has Broken Got Together With The Intention Of Starting A Project That They Had Long Been Discussing. At That Time After Having Explored Various Areas Of The Metal/hardcore Musical Trends Vince And Mick Just Wanted To Play Hard And Simple Compositions Focused On Rhythm And Energy. The Two Old-Timers Knew Each Other From Sharing The Stages At Many Occasions Between 1997 And 2004. Long Time Friend And Ex-Band Mate Yann Donnelly The Allstars Morning Has Broken Was Immediately Invited By Mick Marceau To Link With The Emerging Rock Band. Vince Later Brought Vocalist Dave Boudreau Inner Struggle And Yann Also Got Vocalist Mart Cloutier The Allstars To Join The Fun. The Two-Vocal Dynamic Inspired Not Only By Epic Two-Signer Bands Such As Biohazard And Blood For Blood But Also By Rap Collectives Like Wu Tang Clan And Dilated People Fell Into Place Very Naturally. Finally Lead Guitarist Pete Lemire The Andrews Joined The Band A Few Months Later. The Main Idea Behind All This Had Always Been To Have Fun And To Enjoy Good Times Amongst Friends. None Of The Guys Wanted To Take Themselves Or The Band Too Seriously. This Is Why When Marty Suggested The Name “Sons Of Disgrace” From Purely Random Considerations Everyone Stuck With It. In 2006 The SODs Played For The First Time In Their Hometown Quebec City And The Crowd Reaction Was Instantly Positive. It Was As If Everyone That Had Ever Followed The Allstars Joined Everyone That Had Ever Followed Inner Struggle In A Chaotic Party. Later That Year The Sons Of Disgrace Recorded A S/T Demo At Sonum Studio Where They Met Franky “Blastbeat” Fortin With Whom An Immediate Connection Was Made One That Would Later Become A Strong Friendship And An Ongoing Partnership Between The Crew And Their Hairy Sound Tech. Once Again The Reaction Of The Public Was More Than Favourable To The Release Of The Record. The SODs Felt That They Were Blessed With Good Friends. Money Max And Guillaume Mailloux To Name Only A Few Helped The Band Putting Out Merchandise And Getting From Town To Town. Early Winter Of 2007 The Sons Of Disgrace Shared The Stage With Rochester NY’s Own Borrowed Times. Both Bands Later Gathered At A Stripper Club Near Ottawa In A Most Memorable Night That Eventually Led To A Split Recording Called “The Pig Alley Chronicles” 2008 Out On Surface Records A Label That Has Releases Such As Godbelow's Legendary Full-Length "Painted Images With The Blood Of..." And Godbelow's "Hollowed Soul". But As The Sons Of Disgrace Evolved Inevitable Conflicts Developed Between The Strong Personalities In The Group. Furthermore Careers Made It Hard For Some To Be As Committed As They Would Have Liked To And Pete Started To Drift Away In Many Crazy Schemes. Shows As Well As Rehearsals Became Less Frequent And Small Feuds Became More Intolerable. In January 2009 The Band Began To Record A Single Song Dedicated To Jo Marceau Mick’s Brother Whom Had Been Called To Serve In Afghanistan Later That Year Along With His Platoon. However After Having Done Drums And Guitar Tracks The Guys Came To The Conclusion That There Was No Point In Continuing If All Were Not Heading In The Same Direction. After Four Years Two CDs And After Having Played With Bands Such As Madball H2O Hatebreed Death Threat Turmoil Sworn Enemy Cancer Bats Slumloards Outbreak Cryptopsy And So On They Felt Like They Had Got The Very Best Out Of The Sons Of Disgrace And It Was Time To Call It Quits Before They Killed One Another. Many Months Went By Before Anyone Talked About The Sons Of Disgrace. Most Remained Good Friends And Some Started Other Projects. It Was Not Until Late November 2009 When Mick Yann Dave And Vince All Received Phone Calls From A Very Enthusiastic And Convincing Mart Whom Had Always Wanted The Infamous Mob To Get Back On Track That They Considered The Possibility Of Reforming. So They Got Together And Began Rebuilding The Fundamentals. That Is Also When Sonum Studio Owner And Manager And Long Time Friend Marc Légaré Joined The Crew As A Second Rhythm Guitarist. In Fact The Guys Now Wanted To Move On From Their “Pig Alley Chronicles” Metal Era And Get Back To Their Roots. They Also Finished The Recording Of “Brothers” Even Though Ironically Mick’s Brother Had Long Been Back From Afghanistan. So Here We Are The Sons Of Disgrace Are Back! With New Material Planning To Get An E.P. Out By The End Of Summer 2010 As Well As A Proper Full Length Disc Within The Next Year And A Half. Many Shows To Come Good Times Ahead And Lots Of New Memories That Will Last A Lifetime. It’s Good To Be Back.
