During The Mid-1990s Tim Collaborated With Richard Barbieri Best Known As The Keyboard Player For Japan Rain Tree Crow And Porcupine Tree . Building On Their Enjoyable Working Relationship In The No-Man Touring Band Of 1992 Richard And Tim Wrote A Series Of "ambient Torch Songs" Which Were Released On The ‘Flame’ Album In 1994. Extending The Ideas Of Japan's 'Tin Drum' And The Quieter Moments Of The First Two No-Man Albums ‘Flame’ Blended Tim's Lustrous Voice With Richard's Uniquely Textured Approach To Synthesizer Arrangements. It Also Featured Guest Performances By Danny Thompson Michael Bearpark Richard’s Former Japan/Rain Tree Crow Bandmates Steve Jansen Mick Karn And Members Of Porcupine Tree Steven Wilson Chris Maitland And Gavin Harrison .
