Biografie van de kunstenaar Eduard Topchjan

Born In Yerevan In 1971 Mr. Topchjan Has Had An Excellent Music Education In Armenian Music Colleges And The Conservatory Where Music Traditionally Continues To Be A Strong Field Of Pedagogy. His Basic Study Was In Violin But As Mr. Topchjan Expressed Interest In Conducting He Began Taking Classes From Eminent Armenian Conductor Maestro Ohan Durian. Since Then He Has Enriched His Training With Valuable Consultations From Sir George Solti Claudio Abbado And Nello Santi. In 1991 Mr.Topchjan With A Group Of His Friends From The Yerevan Conservatory Created The "Serenade" Chamber Orchestra Which He Has Been Coaching Since As Its Artistic Director And Conductor. The "Serenade" At Once Became The Most Promising Orchestra Of The Younger Generation In Armenia And Shortly Afterwards It Made A Good Reputation In Western Europe As Well Winning Prizes At Various International Competitions. The Orchestra Has Released CDs Containing Schoenberg’s Compositions Schubert-Mahler’s "Der Tod Und Das Madchen" Vivaldi’s "The Four Seasons" Contemporary Armenian Composer Edward Mirzoyan’s "Symphony For Kettledrums And Strings" Produced By Thorophon Among Others. His First Acquaintance With The APO Musicians Took Place In The Summer Of 2000 When An Orchestra Comprised Of The Chamber Orchestra "Serenade" And A Group Of Leading APO Musicians Under The Baton Of Maestro Topchjan Had An Amazingly Successful Appearance At Bad Fussing Festival Germany . Eduard Topchjan Has Appeared On Podium With Such Celebrated Artists Performing As Steven Isserlis Tibor Varga Kim Kashkashian Roland Dyens Alexei Lyubimov. His Extraordinary Talent Impressive Mature Conducting Style Attract Attention Of Public And Gained Him Highest Critical Acclaim. Since 1998 His Engagement In Europe Has Included Many Symphony Concerts And Opera Productions.
In October 2000 Eduard Topchjan Was Appointed Artistic Director And Principal Conductor Of The Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra. The Moscow Appearance Of The APO On May 22 2001 On The Stage Of The Grand Hall Of The Moscow Conservatory Was Performed To The Highest Critical Acclaim And Appreciation Of The Audience.
During 2000/2001 Concert Season He Conducted About 50 Symphonic Concerts And Realized The Concert Performances Of Giuseppe Verdi’s "Aida" And Goachino Rossini’s "The Barber Of Seville" Operas. On December 2001 The Frankfurt Opera Theatre Has Invited Maestro Topchjan To Conduct The Opera "Cio Cio San" By Giacomo Puccini.
