The Women’s Choir Of Sofia Is A Group Of Professional Singers Which Has Existed For More Than 35 Years Directed Since 1980 By Zdravko Mihaylov. It Is Thanks To This Conductor That Its Repertoire Has Expanded To Include The Whole Range Of Traditional Bulgarian Music Composed With Modern Harmony And Polyphony Or Based On Themes Taken From Folk Songs. The Great Voices Of Bulgaria Is An Art Institution Founded By Zdravko Mihaylov In 1971 And Bears Its Current Name Since 1990. Since 1999 Its Musical Director And Conductor Is Ilia Mihaylov. It Consists Of Three Choirs - Male Classical Mixed And A Female Folk Choir Each Of Which Has Its Own Individual Appearance Repertoire And Lead Singers. For Over Thirty Years This Organization Has Presented The World With The Best Of Bulgarian Vocal And Choral Tradition. Today The Great Voices Of Bulgaria Aims To Further Develop And Enrich Their Musical Heritage And Experience. The New Projects Of The Organization Will Endeavor To Carry The Art Of Bulgarian Music Into The Third Millennium Preserving Its Tradition While Merging It With Contemporary Art Forms. Collaboration With Other Styles Of Music And Different Forms Of Artistic Expression Such As Cinema Dance Contemporary And Film Music Will Create New Ways For Presenting Bulgarian Music In The World Today. read less
