This Is A Collaboration Between Sigur Rós And Fellow Icelander And Poet Steindór Andersen. While The Music Is Composed By These Two Artists The Traditional Icelandic Poetry That Steindór Chants Was Written By Sveinbjörn Beinteinsson A Prominent Icelandic Poet. Steindór Chants In The Style Of Rímur Rhymes Which Are The Traditional Form Of Poetry That Used To Be One Of Icelanders' Precious Few Hobbies For Several Centuries And Still Exists Today. The Lyrics In This Song Are Along The Tradition Both In Terms Of Structure And Style As Well As Content. Rhymes Traditionally Have A Tendency To Be About Things Regarding Daily Farmer Life Philosophy And Nature. The Lyrics In Fjöll Í Austri Follow A Man's Path Over Mountains And Roads To Seek The Beautiful Blue Mountains In The East While Ultimately He Longs To Go Back Home.
