There Are At Least Two Rubins. One Is Obscure Northern Soul Superstar Rubin Parker Responsible For The Stomper "You've Been Away". The Other Is Sebastián Rubin A Songwriter From Buenos Aires Argentina. He Started His Solo Carrer In 2004 With “Viva La Vida” A 6 Songs EP That Follows The Harmonic And Melody Lines Of His Previous Band Grand Prix. Few Months After Rubin Released “Compone Ladron” A Live Album That Can Be Downloaded At His Web Site Http //www.Rubinlandia.Com.Ar . The Album Was Recorded With Some Of His Friends In A Cold And Rainy Friday Of July. They Recorded 10 Unplugged Songs And Versions Including “La Triple A Se Llevo Mi Mujer” Cover Version Of The Ramones “The KKK Took My Baby Away”. After This Album Rubin Played Some Gigs In Argentina And Spain. At The End Of 2005 He Recorded With Los Subtitulados The Subtittleds The Album “Esperando El Fin De Mundo” Waiting For The End Of The World Released In The Middle Of 2006. The Album Now With A Full Band Shows Some Influences Of Teenage Fanclub Elvis Costello Kurt Vonnegut Seinfeld The Kinks And Others. The End Result Is Pure Pop With Powerful Choruses Combined With Some Cellos Keyboards And A Very Sweet Electric Guitar.
