The Sessions Were Going Well And Nina Decided She Would Post A Few Of The Songs Online To Share With Friends And Get Some Feedback. By Chance Executives At A Japanese Label Village Again Came Across Her Site And Were Impressed With What They Heard. They Offered To Release The Album In Japan. So In September 2008 Nina’s Self-Titled Debut Album Was Released In Japan And With No Press And Very Little Fanfare The Album Created A Stir. Within 6 Days Of Its Release It Was The Most Downloaded Jazz Album On ITunes Japan And The Album Nina Vidal Would Replace Norah Jones’s Smash Hit Come Away With Me As The #1 Contemporary Jazz Cd In The Country. She Would Hold On To That #1 Spot For An Amazing 8 Months.. The Album Went On To Reach #3 On The Pop Chart. Like So Many Great Artists Before Her Nina Would Initially Experience Success Outside Her Home Country First.
