Sampling Quincy Jones's Classic Summer In The City This Is The First In A Series Of Three Variations On A Theme Appearing On Nightmares On Wax Albums. It Was Followed By Nights Introlude On Smoker's Delight And Ended With Les Nuits On Carboot Soul. While The Strings On The First Part Of The Series This Track Were Sampled From Jones's Track Directly The "strings" On The Second Variation Were Played On A Synthesizer And Those On The Third Instalment Of The Series Were Played By An Actual String Orchestra.
