"Tausendmal du" (English: "A Thousand Times... You") is a pop rock (also a part of the schlager and neue deutsche welle styles) song by German group Münchener Freiheit. Like many of the band's tunes, it is a romantic ballad sung from the perspective of a pining lover. Released in March 24, 1986, the song was a huge hit in both Austria, Switzerland, and their native Germany. It hit the 7th, 25th, and 9th spots, respectively. The tune remained on the German chart for a full 17 weeks.
The song was the second single of the group's 1986 album ‘Von Anfang An’, following the release of "Ohne Dich (schlaf' ich heut' Nacht nicht ein)". Both tracks are considered the band's signature songs and have been included on several compliation albums as well as performed many times live.
