'Sometimes My Arms Bend Back' Refers To A Line Palmer Sheryl Lee Speaks To Cooper In The Purgatorial Half-World Dream Theatre That Is The Red Room. In Tears She Attempts To Describe Her Experience Of Life Death And Dead Life. The Song Speaks To The Essense Of The Homecoming Queen's Desperation The Inviolable Sanctity Of Parental Love And The Tension Of Doubting That Sanctity. In The Song Laura Speaks In Death As She Floats Downstream In A Body Bag Only Partly Aware Of What Has Happened To Her Leaving It To Others To Learn And Tell Her Tale.
