David Ferreira Was Born On June 27th In Lisbon. He Lived A Great Part Of His Life In Almada Where He Studied Until High School. At The Age Of 18 He Went To Escola Superior De Teatro E Cinema In Lisbon Where He Studied For 4 Years. There He Took Classes With João Mota Glória De Matos Rui Mendes Fernanda Lapa Carlos Pessoa João Brites Among Others. But It Was With Natália De Matos His Voice And Speech Teacher That He Started To Develop His Vocal Capacities. Still During His Acting Studies He Participates In Two International Workshops One In France And Then Another In England. His Acting Career Begins With «Ruído» A Project By Joaquim Horta For Artistas Unidos. He Then Works For Teatro Da Trindade And In 2001 Is Invited To The Cast Of Filipe La Féria's Amália The Musical. He Works For Teatro Politeama Until 2005. On The Side He Works As A Voiceover And Voice Actor Giving Voice To Well Known Characters Such As Ernie From Sesame Street And Postman Pat. In 2007 He Goes To Study At Escola De Música Do Hot Club Portugal. There He Meets Joana Rios His Singing Teacher Who He Later Invites To Direct His Project Of Recording An Album Of Jazz Standards. A Partnership That Generates A Friendship And Understanding Reflected Throughout The Whole Album Namely In The Duet «Bonita» Between David Ferreira And Joana Rios That Revisit This Song By Tom Jobim. In 2009 The Album «This Can't Be Love» Is Released By Música Das Esferas. It Quickly Hits The Jazz Charts And Several Playlists Of Radios Include His Songs. The Critics Have Been Unanimous By Considering Him One Of The Most Promissing Voices Of His Generation. Nowadays David Ferreira Lives In Graça In Lisbon Ad Conciliates His New Musical Career With His Voiceover Work. read less
