Athan Hilaki A.K.A. TC Thanos Chilakis/Hilakis/Cheilakis Is A Singer / Musician Guitar Bass Harmonica Keyboards / Songwriter And A Member Of The Band Called G.A.D. From Greece And Trapped In Static From New York . He Was Born In Athens Greece And Moved To New York In 2008. He Started Playing The Keyboards At The Age Of 14 And Guitar At The Age Of 16. He Has Collaborated Producer/sound Engineer And Performed With Many Well-Known Musicians And Bands Such As Killers Duffy Dinosaur Jr Chicane Nouvelle Vague 1550 Mikie Piescki Drums Iraklis Kontos From Argonaftes Kostas & Paris Gagastathis From Katsimiha Band Mimis Plessas Composer Konstantinos Beta Musician And More. He Has Contributed In Many Albums And Collections As Guitarist Bassist Producer And Sound Engineer. So Far He Has Released 2 Albums 2007-2010 And 3 Video Clips With G.A.D. In Greece Performing In Earthdance Festival 2007 European Music Day 2007 & Rockwave Festival 2009 And Taking The 4th Place In The Cocacola Soundwave 2007. Member Of Of G.A.D. Since 2005 Former Member Of Athor 2000 Accidentally Met 2005 Burning Cigarettes 2002 And Flaming Roses 1999 .

In 2000 The Band Athor Was Formed With A Line-Up That Was Consisted From Different Other Local Bands. Manolis Stergianos On Drums Thodoris Pitsas On Keyboards Dimitris Konstantinidis On Bass And Michael Balafas On Vocals And Acoustic Guitar. At The Same Time Athan Was A Member Of George Kapnisis And The Lighting Cigarettes Switching From Electric Guitar To Bass And Backing Vocals. Both Of Those Bands Released A Rock Collection With Wipe Out Records In 2002 Produced By Panagiotis Stamatelopoulos & Vaggelis Vagenas Members Of The Rock Band Cherouvim. Athan Kept Performing With Both Of Those Bands Until 2004 Where He Decided That It Was Time To Move On. In 2004 He Started Performing Acoustic Shows With Thodoris Pitsas On Piano And Later Michael Balafas On Guitar All Around Athens And Also Some Shows With Full Bands In The Suburbs And Continue To Participate In All The Local Festivals. Another Band That Included Some Of The Original Members Of Athor Was Accidentally Met Formed By The Former Guitarist Of Cherouvim Panagiotis Stamatelopoulos.
G.A.D. Generalized Anxiety Disorder In 2005 Kostas Antoniadis And Hercules Anastasiadis Founders Of The Alternative Band GAD Approached Him And Asked Him To Work With Him In Acoustic Guitar And As A Sound Enginneer. In 2006 GAD Was A 5 Member Piece Band Kostas Antoniadis Vocals And Hercules Anastasiadis Keyboards Along With Athan And Antonis Antoniadis Electric Guitar And Spyros Papakotsis On Drums. In 2006 Dance Sessions II Was Released And GAD Were In It With The Track "Leslie". In 2007 Mike Semertzoglou Bass Joins The Band. Many Shows Went On And The CocaCola Soundwave Contest Was One Of The Most Thrilling Ones. From Thousand Bands All Around Greece GAD Took The 4th Place With The Song "The End Of The Road". The First Album Of GAD Was Ready To Be Released After Many Arguments With The Label It Finally Came Out On November 2007. For The Album GAD Worked With - Dioni From Astyplaz Don't Forget To Live Before You Die - Apostolina Mai From Ammos Leslie - Debora E.C. Zeier Vocals & E-Chello Noone Knows Your Name - Daphne Gerogianni No Songs For Her - Nomik From Sleepin' Pillow Safe. The Album Was Released In 5000 Copies And Was Sold Out The First 3 Months. A Re-Release Of The Album Was Planned But Never Happened. That Same Year GAD Opened The Stage For Chicane Nouvelle Vague And On The CocaCola Soundwave Party For Raining Pleasure. In January 2008 GAD Shoot The First Video Of The Album "The End Of The Road". That Was The End Of The Road In Greece For Athan.

Trapped In Static Is A Project That Initially Started As A Support Band. The Previous Name That The Band Used Was Athan Hilaki Band. The Project's First Steps Were In May 2009 After A Guest Appearance In A Club In New York Where Athan Hilaki Met KT. They Started Performing Together As A Duo Acoustic Sets In Small Venues When In January 2010 The First Full Band Athan Hilaki Band Was Needed For A Show In A Club In New York Uncle Mikes . The Band Was Consisted From Athan Vocals/guitar KT Guitar Apostolos Sideris Bass And Manos Papagiannakis Drums . Two Months Later Mikie Piescki Previously Worked With KT In The Band "No Mercy" Was Added On Drums Replacing Manos Papagiannakis. Session Musicians Were Used As Bass Players.
The First And Current Line-Up Of "Trapped In Static" Was In October 2010 Still With KT On Guitar & Keyboards And The Additions Of Steve Kara On Bass Previously Performing With The Band As Session Guitarist And Pano Apollo On Drums Replaced Mikie Piescki . The Band First Started Using The Name Athan Hilaki Band But Soon Was Changed To "Athan & Trapped In Static" "Athan" Was Added Only For Commercial Reasons - Band's Name Suggested By Steve And Was Taken From Their Single "Too Late" Which Was First Called "Trapped In Static" Later The Name Was Changed To "Trapped In Static". The Band Started Working On New Instrumentation For All The Original Tunes Previously Written By Athan Hilaki And Also Some New Ones "Too Late" "Walk Away" And More For Their Upcoming Shows In New York.
