Zopp Began Circa 2010 In Nottingham UK By Multi-Instrumentalist And Producer Ryan Stevenson. The Project Originally Started As A Progressive Rock Pastiche Referencing A Number Of ‘Canterbury Scene’ Rock Bands From The Late 60’s And 70’s. Over Time However Other Musical Influences From Classical Artists Such As Stravinsky And Steve Reich Along With Ambient Music Became Apparent In The Music. It Wasn’t Until 2017/2018 When Ryan Finished Compiling Compositions For The First Release Along With Recruiting Andrea Moneta Italian Prog Band Leviathan To Perform On Drums. Following The Completion Of The Demo Mixes In Early 2018 Zopp Approached Award Winning Keyboard Player Andy Tillison The Tangent To Mix The Entire Album Guest As A Musician And Co-Produce A Few Songs. Fans Will Enjoy The Vintage Fuzz Bass And Hammond Organ Sounds Complex Time Signature Changes Ambient Organ Interludes And Catchy Melodies.
