Artist Biography For The Perfect Disaster

Perfect Disaster Artist Galaxy Stairway To Heaven Biography Phil Parfitt Alison Pate John "Salty" Saltwell Malcolm Catto Josephine "Jo" Wiggs. Having Tested The Water As Orange Disaster Then The Architects Of Disaster These Calamitously Inclined Types Finally Settled On The Perfect Disaster In 1984. Initially Ignored By The British Music Scene The Perfect Disaster Took Their Twisted Broody Guitar Sound To France For Their Self-Titled Debut Album In 1985. There Followed A Couple Of Years Of Blank Struggle On Both Sides Of The English Channel Before The Band Signed To Fire And Released The Critically Acclaimed ‘Asylum Road.’ With A Relentless Juggernaut Beat Slashing Guitar Swathes From Dan Cross Piled High With Phil Parfitt's Wonderfully Melodic Sneer Pitched Somewhere Between Lou Reed And The Only Ones The Perfect Disaster Were An Explosive Rock'n'roll Band Permanently Set To Spontaneously Combust. Eventually They Did Just That With Bassist Jo Wiggs Decamping To The Breeders But Only After They Had Delivered A Handful Of Recklessly Brilliant Albums Also Containing The Occasional Emotionally-Wrought Ballad - Their 12 Minute Opus 'Down' Is Almost Harrowing In Its Intensity. Parfitt Went On To Form Psychotropic Vibration And Oedipussy And Littleweed Before Releasing A Solo Album In 2014. Discography
