Numminen Presented This "electric Quartet" In Musical Performance Pieces. When Performing At The Bulgarian Communist Youth Festival Numminen's Performance Drove Away Most Of The Thousand-Strong Crowd. Numminen And Sähkökvartetti Were Barred From Partcipating In The Festival. The Device Itself Was A Conglomerate Of Synthesizers Where An "electric Violin" Controlled By A Potentiometer Was Combined With An Electric Drum Kit And A Part That Produced Electronic Melodies.
