There Is A Finnish Company “Oriola” Producing Qualitative Oil-Paints Whose Main Latvian Branch Office Is Situated In Imanta. But That Doesn’t Have Anything To Do With The Music Project Oriola.
The Name Of The Project Is A Form Of The Denomination Of Constellation Orion Which Is Always Situated In The East.
Windows Of The Studio Where Guys Used To Create Music Were On The East Side. In Their Opinion – Oriola Is A Feminine Name Of The Eastern Constellation. Constellations Affect Our Destinies.
Windows That Were On The Eastern Side Were Not In A Studio. That Was A Simple Apartment. Where Le Zzz And DJ Vital First Started Doing Music Experiments. That Was In 1998.

Experiments Used To Be Various From Minimal Techno To Deep House. The Main Stile Line Of The Project Became Clear When The First Studio Album Was Produced. Participants Of The Project Oriola Are “the Most Electronic Romantics In Riga” Bogdan Taran Dance Box Radio Super FM .
The First Studio Album Is Called Primavera “light Music Causing Positive Emotions With Melody Variations From DJ Vital In The Basis And Rhythmic Pattern From Le Zzz” Uldis Rudaks “Diena” 2.06.2002 .
Primavera Spring Album Recorded For Three Autumn Months. Qualitative Light Emotional And Affecting.
Before Primavera There Were Numerous Life Performances And Unbelievably Popular Single Eurofresh.
Everything Virtually Started From That Track Le Zzz Wasn’t A DJ In 1998. Andrew Leskovsky Was Doing Web-Design And Trying To Create Music On The PC. Just Himself. While Listening To Radio-Dance He Was Accurately Compiling Trumpet Sounding From The Old Vinyl Record “Tulips From Amsterdam” So Popular In Eighties. That Sounding Later Became The Basis Of The First Successful Track From Project Oriola. Track Eurofresh. But That Was Already In 90ties. In A Small Popular Club “Metro” Crowded With Dancing People Crazy About A Little Bit Sad Sounding Like No Other Track Eurofresh.
In 1997 They Only Met Le Zzz Who Wasn’t Yet A DJ And DJ Vital Who Had Time To 1. Take Part In Sinthy-Pop Band Called New Fashion /1992-1994/ 2. Open And Lose His Own Night Club «Pagrabs» Translation Basement Where He Had Been Organizing Indie-Performances And Played Industrial Techno And House Music That Weren’t Wide Known /1993/ 3. Organize His First Own Band – “Bacterium” Which Later Became The Best Group Playing Industrial In The Territory Of Ex-Soviet Union Independent Russian Press /1993-1994/ 4. Collaborate As A Producer And Musician With Such Latvian Projects As Alexandroid Yaputhma Sound System And Many Others /1995/ And At Last 5. Recorded Three Studio Albums In A Project Called Trilobitum Coitus That Made Electronic-Acoustical Experiments. /1996/.
That Was Before Oriola.
The First Life Performance Was In 98 At The Kuldiga Town Holiday Latvia . That Was Fantastic. That Was For The Real First Time. For The Last Week Before The Holiday They Were Completing Last Tracks. Nervous. At The Day Of Performance They Soled Wires And Packed The Only One Computer Mixer And The First Yamaha Ys100.
The Performance Was On Main Square. For The Few Thousands Of People.
For The First Time.
After The Fashion Show From Natalja Silver.
In Silver Costumes From Natalja Silver. With Trembling Fingers. Insecure… They Understood That They Made It.
The First Success. 1998.
Then There Were Rudd. A Young DJ. Professional Pianist. Producer Of Band Master Flight. He Used To Be Their Fan. He Become The Third Participant Of The Project Oriola.
Vital Likes To Call The Project Oriola A Pop-Band “Oriola”. But That Is Just A Joke.
