Ricco Johnson Jr. Born July 12 1978 Is A Record Label Owner Music Creator And Rap Artist. He Is Best Known For Having Sold Over 70 000 Albums Hand-To-Hand For His Label As A Rapper. He Performs Under The Mononym King Ricco And Is Often Publicized As The Future’s Next Big Thing In The Hip-Hop And Rap Game. As A Former Part Of Cheddar Records A Pennsylvania-Based Record Label At Which He Worked As CFO And Recording Artist He Helped The Label To Sell 10 000 Copies Of Their First Ever Released Album. King Ricco Is No Longer Connected With The Label And The Label No Longer Exists. King Ricco Is Now Running His Own Label Named “Smart Plus Diagram” And Is Working On His New Album Entitled “Graphic Arts ” Which Does Not Yet Have A Release Date. King Ricco Was Born In Riverside California The Child Of Ricco Johnson A Drummer And Also A Minister His Uncles Rudy Johnson And Tony Johnson Are Also Instrumentalists. His Father Is A Native Of Detroit Michigan And His Mother Is From Plainfield A Small Town In New Jersey Right Outside Of Newark. His Parents Split Up When He Was Young And He Was Raised By His Mother And Her Parents In Plainfield A Drug And Mob-Infested City In New Jersey. King Ricco Went To Elementary School At Washington School And High School At Plainfield High School Where He Began Getting Skills As An M.C. King Ricco’s Music Career A Little While Ago King Ricco Moved To Allentown PA And Joined A Record Label Named Gunz 4 Hire As An Artist And The Head Music Producer. They Released Their First Album Murder 4 Sale. It Created A Buzz In The LV Area And Philly On Power 99. Although They All Went Separate Ways King Ricco Kept Releasing More Making The Most Of The Buzz.
In 2004 He Released A Cheddar Records Compilation With His Business Partner At The Time An Album Which Gained Good Credit Among Fans. With Over 10 000 Copies Sold It Was From Here On Where King Ricco Started Gaining Popularity. He Did Three Songs Of His Own On This Album And A Hook On One Of The Songs Of The 11 Song Compilation. . In 2006 He Released 200 Proof Wit No Chaser His First Sold Solo Album Another Well-Known Release In His Region. 200 Proof Wit No Chaser Gained More Applause And Buzz For The Artist With Over 10 000 Copies Sold Of This Record.
While Working On His Albums King Ricco Has Been Present In The Studio With R&B Singer Jaheim And Began Work With Some Of The Members Of The Blood Hound Gang. He Has Also Ventured To Do Verses On Rock-Metal Songs.

The Album Featured A Few Local Rappers From His Area. The Record Sold Thousands Of Copies. It Was Successful In The LV Area And Eventually Made Its Way To The Lafayette College Radio Station One Of The Most Popular College Stations In The Area. Due To The Success Of The Album King Ricco Decided He Needed To Put Out Additional Albums Soon. Since The Release Of 200 Proof Wit No Chaser King Ricco Has Been Putting Out Solo Albums Featuring Other Local Rappers.
Still Dealing With Cheddar Records This Album Was Released On His Label At The Time Named Choke H Though It Was Co-Produced And Co-Financed By Cheddar Records.

King Ricco Planned To Release His Debut Album Solid Foundations In Early 2010. This Album Has Been His Latest Album Of Four Solo Albums To Date. Solid Foundations Was Released Feb 18 2010. By The Time This Album Was Released Ricco Had Cut Ties With Cheddar Records And Its Members. Before The Release Of This Album King Ricco Said He Had Decided To Start Hitting Up A Lot Of Local Open Mic Venues To Practice More On His Stage Presence.
When Ricco Finished Putting Solid Foundations Together And Released It On Feb 18 2010 He Immediately Hit The Streets With It Got It Put For Sale All Across The World And Had It For Sale In A Bunch Of Stores In Bethlehem PA. Solid Foundations Has Sold Over 10 000 Copies So Far And Still Counting.
Solid Foundations Has 19 Songs On It And Is Regarded As A Best-Of Album. The Album Cover Has Gotten A Lot Of Criticism Though Ricco Says That He Designed It Specifically Because There Is A Lot Of Personal Meaningful Symbolism In It. The Pastor Said To Change Your Ways Let Me Give You An Insider. He Said Ricco Speak To The Lord Right Now Before The Night’s Up. He Said Pray Son You Gotta Pray.”
Speaking At One Show Before Performing This Song King Ricco Told The Audience About The Experience In The Church. He Said “So This Next Song Called ‘Last Days’ Was Written Because I Went To This Church And Something Touched Me. The Pastor Looked At Me After He Finished Preaching And Randomly Asked Me To Come Up Front So That He Could Pray For Me. I Went Up And The Pastor Rubs Some Anointing Oil On His Hands And Touched My Head And Said He Feels That Death Is Trying To Get Me. He Said That I Need To Pray And That I Need To Pray Now Because I Was In Danger. So I Closed My Eyes And Started Praying. I Opened My Eyes And All The Ladies Of The Church Started Walking Around Me Praying Over Me In Tongues. It Was A Really Weird Experience.
