Perth Born Singer-Songwriter And Indie-Blues Chanteuse Grace Woodroofe Came To Public Awareness At Age 16 When She Entered Two Demo Recordings Into The Influential Australian Radio Station Triple J’s Unearthed Competition. These Songs Found Their Way To Los Angeles Artist Collective The Masses Who Immediately Sponsored Grace To Come To The United States To Record And Develop Her Sound. Grace Found Herself In Los Angeles Surrounded By Creatives And Collaborating With A Series Of Musicians Who Helped Her Develop Her Singular Voice Into A Chorus Producer Carlos Nino Best Known For His Work With The Influential Dublab Collective Singer-Songwriter Mark Eitzel Of American Music Club And Justin Meldal-Johnsen Who Produced The Track “Quicksand” A Performer And Arranger With Artists Such As Beck Gnarls Barkley Tori Amos And Currently Nine Inch Nails. Upon Completing Her Studies In Perth Grace Returned To California In The Fall Of 2008 To Record Her Debut Album With Producer Ben Harper At El Dorado Studios. With His Incendiary Band Relentless7 Bringing A New Depth To Her Haunting Compositions The Collaboration Of These Artists Resulted In A Unique Sound Composed Of Darkness Honesty Discomfort Yet Tranquillity. Two Of The Album’s Tracks “I’ve Handled Myself Wrong” And “H. ” Will Be Self-Released Through Her Own Hurricane Mabel Records As A Limited Edition 7” Record And Digitally Through ITunes In March 2010. Since Recording With Relentless7 Grace Has Performed A Number Of Intimate And High Profile Club Shows In Los Angeles As Well As Numerous Sold Out Gigs In Her Hometown Of Perth. In 2008 Grace Toured With Ben Harper & Relentless7 And Gave Her Australian Festival Debut At The 2009 Byron Bay Blues And Roots Festival.
