Artist Biography For Fitacola

Fitacola Is A Portuguese Punk Rock Band From Coimbra Who Started Playing In Late 2003 With Influences From American Bands Such As No Use For A Name Pennywise NOFX Lagwagon Rise Against And Bad Religion.
'Rebobina E Pensa' Their Debut EP Was Released Two Years Later In 2005 And Gave Them The Opportunity Of Playing In Several Academic Festivals Including Covilhã Coimbra Aveiro Or Castelo Branco. Their Debut Album - "Mundo Ideal" Released In April 2008 Contains 12 Songs And Gave Them The Oppurtunity To Play With Well-Known Bands Such As Strike Anywhere A Wilhelm Scream Less Than Jake Or Strung Out.
In The Late 2008 Their Formation Changed. Pinho Replaced Libelinha Playing The Bass. In 2009 They Released Their First Video For The Song "Sonho Isolado" Check Http //www.Youtube.Com/watch?v LYPsofGgtso Reaching Nº14 In MTV's Hit List Portugal.
2010 Started With The Release Of A New EP Included In The Optimus Discos Initiative. This EP "Outros Dias" Contained 6 Brand New Songs Including A José Cid's Cover "Cai Neve Em Nova Iorque" Featuring Kalú From Xutos & Pontapés And "Outros Dias" Featuring Badauí From Brazilian Band CPM 22.
Still In 2010 Fitacola Accomplished Two Dreams Playing In An Important Venue As Coliseu Dos Recreios In Lisbon And Opening For One Of Their Most Important References Rise Against.
They Also Opened Two Mad Caddies's Concerts In Coimbra And Almada. "Outros Dias" Is An Important Mark In Fitacola's History Not Only Because It Gave Rise To A Video See Http //www.Youtube.Com/watch?v OHXZ6nvIDfE But Also Because As Opposing To Most Of Fitacola's Songs This One Is Sadder And More Realistic As It Addresses The Problem Of Depression.
Together With The New Video Fitacola Released A New Album In Late 2010.
Entitled "Caminhos Secretos" This Album Is More Honest Showing Both A Mental And Technical Evolution And Contains 13 Songs.
In February 2011 Fitacola Opened Two Concerts Of Sum 41's Tour In Portugal They Returned To Coliseu Dos Recreios And To Hard Club Porto. In The End Of 2011 There Was A New Change In The Band's Formation. Cabal Replaced Besugo On The Guitar.
In 2013 Fitacola Celebrated Their 10th Anniversary A Concert In The Queima Das Fitas Of Coimbra And
with 3 New EPs Scheduled To Be Released During The Year. Current Formation Diogo - Vocals/guitar
