A Stranger In A Strange Land And Without Friends Or Family To Greet Him Upon Arrival Roman Found Himself Homeless And Was Shortly Caught Up In An Underworld Populated By Shady Individuals And Criminals. Things Didn’t Get Better From There. And As The Old Saying Goes – Things Could Always Be Worse - Something Roman Experienced The Hard Way In The Form Of A Two Year Incarceration At Säters Mental Institution During Which He Spent His Days In The Company Of Psychopaths Murderers And Other Individuals Who For Better Or Worse Actually Belonged There. This Was To Be The Place He Would Call Home Until His 18th Birthday Upon Which He Was To Be Deported Back To A Fractured Homeland. The Swedish Government Assured That The Standards Of Mental Care In Russia Were On Par With Their Own Bade Farewell To Roman Who Was Escorted In Handcuffs By Two Policemen Who Also Accompanied Him On His Flight Back To Russia Where He Was Received By Institution Workers At The Airport And Placed Behind Lock And Key In An Insane Asylum. The Standards Of Care In The Russian Asylum Proved To Be Anything But… Straitjackets And A Cocktail Of Mind Numbing Medication Were The Norm Here With Bars Placed Over The Windows Making Escape From This New Nightmare Next To Impossible. 2 Weeks Later A Literal Window Of Opportunity Presented Itself To Roman – An Opportunity He Jumped At With Passion. Following A Meeting With The Head Doctor Of The Institution Whose Window Was The Only One Not Adorned With Bars Roman Threw Himself Out Into What Lay Beyond Landing Rather Softly After A Two Storey Fall Onto The Frozen Lawn Thereafter Running As Fast As His Legs Could Carry Him In A Direction Opposite The Institution. Many Of The Songs And Lyrics On The Record Were Written During The Times Described Above For Even When There Was No Bed To Sleep In And Nowhere To Keep Warm There Was Always A Guitar Through Which Emotions And Creativity Could Be Channelled. After 10 Long Years Roman Was Finally Granted Permanent Residence In Sweden. Today Roman Is A Swedish Citizen. His Hobbies Involve Tuning Cars Playing With His Band And Talking To Birds. read less
