Will Currie & The Country French Are A Young Band From Waterloo Ontario Who Have Been Making Music And Filling Dance Halls Since 2008. The Band’s Heavy Bass Lines And Danceable Drum Beats Are Held Together By Rhythmic Piano And Ripping Guitar To Support Currie’s Infectious Melodies. Their Exhilarating Stage Show Caught The Attention Of Canadian Rock Band Sloan Who Promptly Signed Them To Their Label Murderecords. Their Debut EP A Great Stage Was Released And Quickly Garnered Critical Acclaim And Earned The Band A Cult-Like Following. A Cross-Canada Tour With Sloan Soon Followed And Both Bands Recorded The Single ‘Push Pins’ Which Earned Them A CBC Radio 3 Award For Best Collaboration.
