Artist Biography For The Shizit

The Shizit Is A Digital Hardcore Band From Seattle USA Formed By J.P. Anderson And Brian Shrader In 1999. Their Music Was An Intense Mix Of Gabber Hardcore And Heavy Metal Guitars Amped Up With Aggressive Political Lyrics. The Band Released Two CD's On Mp3.Com And As It Was Spread Quickly Among Underground Sources The Band Steadily Built Up Their Following. In 2001 They Began Work On Their Third Album "Soundtrack For The Revolution" The Band Was Offered Contracts From Large Publishers Such As Sony Music Or Warner But They Turned The Offers Down Since It Didn't Fit Their Morals. The Album Was Finally Released At E115 Records A Canadian Indie Label Later That Year And Tracks From It Were Released On Alec Empire's "Don't Fuck With US" Compilation. The Band Also Joined Alec On His European Tour And With The Arrival Of Turntablist Jason Alberts It Seemed The Band Was Reaching The Pinnacle Of Their Career. Suddenly However In 2003 The Band Announced They Were Disbanding Due To Personal Disputes Between J.P. And Brian Shrader. J.P. Then Went On To Work On A Solo Project Rabbit Junk. The Shizit's Second Self Titled Album Was Released As A Free Download On 15th October On Archive.Org And Later Through Glitch Mode And Dtrashrecords. This Self Titled Album Does Not Feature Brian Shrader And The Band Name Has Been Changed To The Named Since Release For Legal Reasons.
