The Poppyheads Were A Short-Lived Indiepop Group Associated With Sarah Records. They Only Made Two Records - A Flexidisc For Sarah Co-Founder Matt Haynes' Sha-La-La Label Entitled Postcard For Flossy EP 1987 And Cremation Town 1988 - The 6th Sarah 7". The Group's Lead Singer Rob Young Has Forged A Successful Writing Career And Has Written Several Music Books On Subjects Such As Warp Records And Can. He Is Also Notable As The Former Editor-In-Chief Of The Wire - A Popular UK-Based Experimental Music Magazine.
