There Are At Least 5 Bands With The Name The Drive. 1. A 5 Piece Pop-Punk Band From Raynham MA United States That Was Active Circa 2000-2003 Whose Singer Was Ben Potrykus Of Receiving End Of Sirens And Later Martin Johnson Now At Boys Like Girls 2. One Is A South African Soul Band Established In '71. The Other Two Rockbands One Located In Chicago IL Originally From Michigan Another Is A Band That Formed In Boston In The 80's 3. The Drive That Formed In The 80's Was A Rock Band Consisting Of Pat Dreier Jamie Walker Tony Paolino And Paul Kochanski. Pat Dreier Jamie Walker And Paul Kochanski Created The Drive From Their Previous Band The Lines Which Also Included Eric Hafner And Rick Weden . The Drive's Two Biggest Hits Were Doin' The Countdown And Let The Rain Come Down. However Patrick Dreier And Tony Paolino Had To Leave The Band Because "domestic Responsibilities". Later Dreier And Paolino Joined Again Creating The Band PT73. 4. The Drive Was An Acoustic Rock Band From Chicago IL/Michigan United States.
