Vacuum Cleaners Morph Into Sonic Backdrops Coffee Pots Burble Their Way Into Drumbeats Guitar Feedback Gets Bent Into Birds And Ethereal Sounding Keyboards. Every Audio Track Is The Result Of Months Of Collecting Audio. Jay Records Guitar Tracks Drums Bass Lines Keyboards And Anything And Everything That Might Add To The Collage Of Sound. Much Of Which Is The Result Of Hours Of Circuit Bending That Generally Only Comes To A Halt When One Or More Of The Audio Components Suffer Catastrophic Failure. Occasionally These Circuit Bending Sessions Result In Equipment Catching Fire. No Matter The Outcome Every Second Of The Session Is Captured Via A Room Microphone That Not Only Captures The Circuit Bending Sounds Emitting From The Speakers The Microphone Captures Everything In The Room – Everything. Throughout The SLiver0ne Project There Are Doors Closing Chairs Creaking Toilets Flushing And The Burble Of People Talking. With A Portable Device Jay Records Sounds In Nature And That Of The City To Add To The Layered Collage Of Sound. There Is Even The Occasional Backwaft Of A Television Or Radio Playing. All Making The SLiver0ne Project A Literal Abstract Artistic Collage Of Random Disassociated Yet Connected Sound. Readying Each Audio Track For Completion Takes Weeks To Months Depending On Artistic Motivation. Each Release Is Determined By How Many Tracks Are Created That Share A Similar Emotional Influence. Once The "spell" Of Influence Has Been Broken The Completed Release Is Left Alone For At Least A Month Before Any Attempt Is Made To Finalize The Sound. This Allows A Fresh Perspective To Ensure There Is Continuity Across All The Tracks To Be Released.
