London-Based Singer/songwriter Polly Scattergood Blends Progressive Arrangements And Dynamic Vocals With Dark And Ethereal Electronic Pop. Emerging In 2001 Scattergood Made A Strong First Impression With Her Eponymous Mute-Issued Debut Which Paired Confessional Melodic Folk-Rock With Shimmering Electro-Dance-Pop. Subsequent Efforts Arrows 2013 And In This Moment 2020 Added Ambient Indie Pop And Somber Introspective Synth Pop To Her Increasingly Diverse Array Of Storytelling Vehicles. A Native Of Essex And A Graduate Of The Brit School The London Performing Arts Academy That Spawned The Likes Of Adele Amy Winehouse And Katie Melua Scattergood Inked A Deal With Mute At The Age Of 22 And Released Her First Single "Nitrogen Pink " In 2007.
