Artist Biography For Moog The Artist

Formally Known By The Name “DJ MoOg” His Name Was Changed To “MoOg The Artist” In 2007 Due To A Mix Up Between Himself And Another Artist From Out Of Country Also Named “DJ Moog”. So To Lessen The Confusion The Artists Name Was Changed. At The Age Of 5 Or 6 He Caught Interest With His Aunt's Piano. When He Was Visiting Her He Always Wanted To Play On It But His Parents Always Wouldn't Let Him Until One Day He Snuck Onto It And Hit A Few Keys. Eventually That Led Him Into Being Able To Play On It. Years Went By And His Parents Decided To Get Him A Casio Keyboard As A Christmas Gift. Ever Since Then He Was Hooked And Played It Constantly. Then At The Age Of 13 Or So He Began Taking Piano Lessons. He Did Learn Quite A Good Deal And Tried To Use What Was Taught To Him But He Was Stubborn And Invented His Own Way Of Playing. Meanwhile He Had The Interest In Audio Manipulation And Recording/dubbing With Cassettes And An Old School Amp Hooked Up To Two Large Organ Speakers In His Parents Basement. He Would Take The Songs Off The Radio And Sequence The Recordings Onto One Master Tape. Next Was The Cello Which Was A Complete Waste Of Time. Then It Was Shortly After That Onto The Guitar And His Aunt Let Him Borrow A 1969 Gibson Dove. His Parents Were Pretty Skeptical About Getting Him Lessons For The Guitar So They Didn't Let Him Until He Was Becoming More And More Enthused With The Instrument. Soon After They Gave In And He Was Being Stubborn As Always Revoking The Lessons And Doing It His Own Way... At The Age Of 15 He Started To Dabble Into Audio Manipulation With A PC. There Was This Program By "Shark Multimedia" That Had This Recorder That Let You Edit Sound Waves And Distort Them Upon Many Of Variation. Then At The Age Of 16 He Came Across A Wonderful Program Called "Cool Edit". It Was Similar To The Program He Previously Used Except It Had Much More Options To Editing Sound Waves. He Then Started To Embark On His Masterpieces And Started To Produce Them At An Astounding Rate. By This Time He Was Full Fledged Into Creating And Producing His Own Works At A Large Capacity. Ten Years Then Had Past And He Have Already Recorded Around 12 Albums At The Least. He Then Had Chosen To Start Putting His Tracks Onto The World Wide Web. Norgers.Net Was The First Site He Had Chosen To Start His Release. The Audio Copies However Were Dubbed Onto Cassette Which Rendered The Audio Very Sloppy. He Then Chose To Go Out And Get A New Keyboard Roland Fantom And Then Started Remastering All His Works. Incredibly He Managed To Reach Out To People With His Gift Of Music And Had The World Adapting To This New Found Structure Of Experimental Electronica. Unfortunately The Web Site Then Closed Down And As He Thought That All Hope Was Lost He Then Found Musicfreedom.Com Through One Of The Administrators Formally From The Norgers.Net Website. She Was The One Who Got Him Onto Releasing All Of His Creations On The Web. If It Wasn't For Her He Probably Would Have Never Gotten His Music Out On The Internet. Currently He Has Been Residing On LastFM And Facebook So That He Can Enlighten The World And Share His Art With The World. MoOg's Philosophy As Said "Music Is A Gift For Healing The Mind And Spirit... I Believe That Everyone Should Enjoy This Gift And Keep It Close To Your Heart So That You Can Become Purified And At Peace In It's Beauty..."
