Fulano Is An Eclectic Chilean Rock Fusion Jazz Band That Began To Play By 1984 In College Campus And A Very Reduced Circuit Of Little Cultural Spaces Available By These Days In Santiago De Chile. In Fact They Used To Say That They Played "emergency Music" Due The Critical Politic Atmosphere Of The End Of 80's In Chile. Their Influences Came From Jazz Blues Fusion Frank Zappa And Weather Report And Developed A Very Energetic Music With A Clear Brass Section And The Exceptional Virtuosity Of Their Vocalist Arlette Jecquier. Originally Formed By Arlette Jecquier Vocals Clarinet Cristian Crisosto Soprane And Baritone Sax Pan Flute Jaime "Chino" Vasquez Tenor Sax Jorge Campos* Bass Jaime Vivanco* -Passed Away- Piano Samplers And Guillermo "Willy" Valenzuela Drums In 1997 Jaime Vasquez And Guillermo Valenzuela Leaved The Band Being Replaced By Rafael Chaparro And Raúl Aliaga Respectively. 2002 Vivo Their Last Concert Was In 2002 Celebrating The 18 Years Of The Band At The Universidad De Chile Theater In Santiago. Nowadays Cristián Crisosto And Arlette Jecquier Are Working With Another Band Knowing As "La Media Banda" Considered The Natural Heritage Of Fulano And Formed By About 11 Musicians. *By These Days Jorge And Jaime Were Active Musicians Of Congreso Another Chilean Band With An Extense Life Of More Than 40 Years Dedicated To The New Latin American Music Style.
