Formed In 2000 Echo Base Soundsystem Was An Instrumental Quintet From Austin Texas Comprised Of Arturo Eduardo Torres Guitars/balafon/organ Andrew Gerfers Drums/percussion/samples/keys Nikos Trevino Bass/percussion Phil Hernandez Melodica/programming/keys And Pete Neonakis Keys/programming/samples . The Group's Sound Evolved From The More Traditional Dub Reggae Rhythyms And Musical Transitions Towards A More Open-Eyed View Of The Genre. At The Same Time They Maintain The Fundamental Effects-Laden Aesthetics Of "the Dub" Truly Showing The Group's Amazing Musical Talent As Quintessential Collaborators. Their Self-Titled Debut Album Released On Seedknowledge Records And Distributed In Europe By Glitterhouse Turned International Heads With Their Electro-Dub Soundscapes. The Sophomore Echo Base Soundsystem Album Was To Be Titled "Psalms Of The Forgotten." Unfortunately The Group Disbanded In 2006 Before The Album Was Released.
