Donna Washington With Her Third Release On Capitol Records Just For You November 1982 Proves Once Again What Spiritual Roots Can Do For Secular Sound. Born In Los Angeles Just Twenty-Three Years Ago To A Minister Who Sang And Played Both Guitar And Piano.. At The Age Of Three Donna Began Singing With Her Older Sister Ineta. Although Performances Were Restricted To Church-Oriented Affairs Donna Idolized The R&B Sounds Of Gladys Knight And Aretha Franklin. Without The Luxury Of Professional Vocal Training Donna Continued To Sing Profusely With The Encouragement Of Grade School Teachers Who Thought Her Vocal Abilities A "miracle."
