We All Own Music Because We Are All Connected To The Source That Creates It And We Want This To Be Yours.”- Mari Kattman Of Day Twelve Day Twelve Was An Idea That Spawned From Joe Lindo In Early 2011. After Playing In Many Bands Collaborating With Many Different People And Sharing The Stage With The Many Different Bands The Decision Was Made To Have Creative Freedom And Break Through The Stereo Types Of What An “industrial” Band Could Be. With His Love For All Music Not Just Electronic He Realized That There Are Many Other People Like Him. Why Couldn’t A Band Write A Heavy Pumping Dance Song And Follow It Up With A Deep Groove To Put You Into A Trance Or A Song That Would Tug At The Heart? That Was The Outline For Day Twelve. Not Be Held By Boundaries Of What An Industrial Band Is To Keep It Fresh And To Play What Felt Right. Once The Outline Was Decided Joe Quickly Recruited Long Time Friend And Charismatic Front Woman Mari Kattman. The Close Friends Have Worked Together In The Past And With Her Dynamic Range Soulful Lyrics And Ability To Compose Melodies For Any Style Of Music The Fit Was Perfect. Mari Has The Skill Set To Write A Hook That Will Resonate In Your Head For Days And In The Same Breath Send A Message That The Listener Can Interpret For Themselves And Identify With. Much Like Joe Mari’s Back Round In Music Is Full Of Experience And Shares The Philosophy That Music Shouldn’t Be Limited To Genres That One Should Be Able To Pull Influences From Electronic Middle Eastern Pop Hip Hop Music And Everything In Between. The Some Time Stale And Repetitive Complexities Of Dance Industrial Music Can Often Be Overlooked By The Average Listener And We Believe This Blend And Freedom To Write What Comes Naturally Makes Day Twelve Unique. Appealing To The Die Hards But Also Not Handcuffed By The “formula” The Goal Is To Get The Music Out To Everyone. To Introduce New Listeners To The Scene But Stay True To What We Love And What Drew Us In Ourselves.
