Artist Biography For Allied Vision

After Being Exposed To The First Wave Of Harsh EBM And Industrial Sounds Prevalent In Acts Like Skinny Puppy Front Line Assembly And Front 242 In The Early 90s Oscar Storm Began Forging His Own Personal Electronic Nightmare. Alone In A Land Where The Industrial Movement Was Little Known And The Environment Hostile To Any Kind Of Musical Innovation Oscar Began The Long And Time Consuming Process Of Building His Studio Carefully Choosing The Electronic Tools And Weaponry That Would Create Into Being An Aural Manifestation Of His Dark Vision Of The World. After Working Diligently Oscar Finally Amassed His First Small Set Up And Out Of That Came The Initial Demo Tracks For Oscar Storm's Allied Vision. Labels And Zines Responded Quickly To Those Starting Demos And In The Process AV Was Brought To The Attention Of Sideline Magazine. The Result Was Allied Vision's 'Flooded In Blood' An Impressively Dark Bodied Instrumental Piece Being Featured In The Sideline Magazine ELEKTRAUMA Volume 2 Compilation. After Allied Vision's First Successful Aural Assault With The Track 'Flooded In Blood' Oscar Continued To Build Up His Studio Adding Even More Machinery To His Growing Arsenal And Furthering His Knowledge In The Form Of A Greater Mastery Of Programming Sequencing And Sound Manipulation. In The Summer Of 1997 After Some Continued Sound Experimentation And Work On New Tracks The Demo Tape Of 'Unburied' Was Shopped Around To Several Labels. Although Response Was Good All Around Zoth Ommog {the Most Respected Label Around At The Time} Tabled The Most Interesting Deal And So Allied Vision Came Under Their Aegis. The Album Was Released In Autumn Of 1997 And Made A Huge Impact On The Scene In Countries As Diverse As Brazil And Belgium. AV's Sound Was Initially Compared To Bands Like YelworC And Wumpscut But Oscar Storm Pushed The Envelope Even Further With Allied Vision. Storm's Severely Manipulated Vocals Fought Against A Wall Of Saturated Percussion And With Apocalyptic Strings Added Even More Rage And Chaos Which Helped In Creating An Extreme Emotional Experience For The Captivated Listener. After The Release Of 'Unburied' Tensions Between Oscar And Zoth Ommog Began To Surface Stemming From The Lack Of Interest On The Label's End To Promote Allied Vision. Oscar Continued To Work On New Tracks Which Were Recorded As Part Of An Mcd But They Failed To See The Light Of Day Once More Due To Lack Of Commitment On The Part Of The Label. In 1999 'Unburied' Was Licensed By Canadian Label Gashed For The North American Market. Several Tracks Off The Album Were Remixed By Well Known Bands Gridlock Aghast View And Negative Format. With The First Album Finally Released In North America Oscar Was Back In His Studio Recording What Was To Be The Follow Up To 'Unburied' And Adding Even More Gear To His Ever Enlarging Cache Of Musical Weaponry . Storm's Efforts Culminated In The Brutal 'MMBO' Or 'Man Must Be Overcome'. This Second Album Was Released In The Spring Of 2001 And With It Allied Vision Raised The Bar Once More Far Above The Latest Wave Of Hard Electro Bands. MMBO Still Continues To This Day To Be The Level To Aspire To For Harsh Aggression In The Genre. Far More Electronic Sounding Than Allied Vision's First Effort 'Man Must Be Overcome' Showed A Progression In The Rage And Chaos That Emerged In 'Unburied' And Developed Into A Full Frontal Dark Electro Attack On The Body And Senses That Thrust Allied Vision Into The Next Millennium. 'MMBO' Has Since Been Reviewed As "one Of The Best Harsh EBM Albums Ever Produced". It Is Not Only Solid Enough To Fill Even The Most Aggressive Clubs World Wide But Will Sear Your Soul With A Dark And Savage Futuristic Electro Assault In The Process. With 'Man Must Be Overcome' Oscar Storm Had Finally Made His Mark. On November 1st 2003 Allied Vision's Third Album 'OS Bandwidth' Was Released. Never One To Rest On His Laurels 'OS Bandwidth' Featured The Most Futuristic And Evolved Allied Vision Audio Sculpture To Date Oscar Saw It As His Personal Best Production. In Addition To The Newly Emerging Production Techniques And Technologies Which Storm Employed To Great Effect {once Again Cementing Allied Vision's Position In The Electronic Music Scene} 'OS Bandwidth' Was Supported By Two Futuristic Video Clips Realized By Director Rod Chong. With The Sound And Now Look/feel Of Allied Vision Firmly In Place Promotional Efforts Were Undertaken By Promo Company Hard Beat Propaganda. Under This New Promotional Blitz Allied Vision And 'OS Bandwidth' Landed On The German Club Scene Reaching DAC Charts TOP DJs Lists As Well As Hitting The Number 1 Position AND Being Named "Album Of Autumn 2003" In Major Magazine Sonic Seducer. As "Album Of The Month" 'OS Bandwidth' Received Recognition In Webzines Like Yabbas Enabling Oscar Storm And His Allied Vision To Enter A New Theatre Reach A New Audience And Deliver New Potential Something Increasingly Hard To Find In The Mostly Boring And Simplistic EBM/Harsh Electro Scene.
