The Postulates Is An Indie Rock Band From Newton Iowa. The Band Is Composed Of Lead Vocalist Alex Gearhart Lead Guitarist Austin Dunn Rhythm Guitarist Chris Tomlin Percussionist Nate Hill Bassist/vocalist/guitarist J.L. Leckband And Keyboardist Joe Peterson. Austin And Chris Had Been Playing Together Since Middle School When First Talk Of A Band Surfaced. In 2006 Alex Joined Austin And Chris And In 2007 Nate And J.L. Entered The Scene And Thus An Early "Postulates" Was Born. In Early 2008 Joe Was A Welcome Addition To The Group On Keyboards. The Band Has Locally Released A 2-Track Single Featuring Their Hometown Hit "Premium Unleaded."
