A While Back I Was Sitting At The Bar Of The Now-Defunct Bottom Lounge With A Buddy Of Mine. We Went For Operation Cliff Clavin Who Were On Some Kind Of Reunion Stint But Overheard The Brokedowns Well Enough To Get Off Our Asses At The Bar And Take A Look At These Guys. After Most Of The Chicago Punk Rock Bands I Liked Went Away Around 2001-2003 I Suppose It Was A Matter Of Time That A Group Like This Would Start Sounding Like 1996-99 To Me. I Only Wish They Were Around When The Fireside Bowl Was A Hole In The Wall. They Probably Were Just Not As A Band. read less
