I Soul Asylum Sono Una Band Americana Di Rock Alternativo Formatasi A Minneapolis In Minnesota Nel 1983. In Realtà I Membri Fondatori Si Erano Già Incontrati In Un Precedente Progetto Musicale Con I Loud Fast Rules Nel 1981 Con Dan Murphy Dave Pirner Karl Mueller And Pat Morley. Morley È Stato Successivamente Sostituito Da Grant Young Nel 1984. I Soul Asylum Registrano Tre Album Con La Twin/Tone Records E Due Con La A&M Records Con Cui Ottengono Un Piccolo Successo Commerciale. In Particolare Nel 1992 Pubblicarono L’album Grave Dancers Union Premiato Con Un Doppio Disco Di Platino E Parteciparono Ai Grammy Award Vincendo Con Il Singolo Runaway Train. Tre Anni Più Tardi A Conferma Del Periodo Di Grazie Della Band È Di Nuovo Disco Di Platino Con L’album Let Your Dim Light Shine. Quest’ultimo Comunque Fu L’ultimo Hit Album Per La Band. Nel 2004 A Muller Fu Diagnosticato Un Cancro La Notizia Fu Annunciata Pubblicamente E Ricordata In Un Live Di Beneficienza. Karl Muller Morirà L'anno Successivo.
