Archetypewriter Is The Most Recent Moniker Scott Boutin Has Given His Output As A Musician. Scott Discovered The Joy Of Sound Manipulation In The Early 90's As A Guitarist And A DJ. A Love Of Effects Processing Combined With A Fascination With Electronic Music Inspired His First Non-Rock Oriented Excursion Into Ambient Music In 1993. Since Then He Has Recorded And Performed In Many Different Styles Including Drum & Bass Acid House Dub And Psychedelic Improv. Scott Released Four Records And One Full Length Cd Between 1999 And 2004 As BlueSoul Before Focusing On More Organic And Experimental Pursuits. The Result Is Archetypewriter Which Attempts To Find A Most Pleasant Balance Between Electronic And Acoustic Drone And Complexity Pop And Experimental. It Reveals The Eclectic Taste Of A Long Time Music Store Employee And The Curiosity Of A Sound Obsessed Human Living At The Crossroads Of Then And Now.
