'The Song Is About People Saying They Liked Me Then Slagging Me Off Behind My Back. That Happened A Lot And He Didn't Like It So Wrote The Song About It.' Song written by Johnny Borrell about his girlfriend at the time Mairead Nash who was a DJ and part of the group Queens of Noize.
She [Mairead] said: 'Johnny and I have been friends for years. He was one of the first people I met when I came to London. 'The song is about people saying they liked me then slagging me off behind my back. That happened a lot and he didn't like it so wrote the song about it.' The pair were together when Johnny wrote the song but Mairead says they're just friends now. She added: 'It's amazing that such a big song is about me.
